About Live Location

Why this exists

Showing someone that you are nearly home should take one tap — not a new account, not yet another download, and certainly not a company quietly logging a map of your whole week. So Live Location does exactly one thing well: it hands a private link to the people you trust, lets them watch you arrive, and lets you switch it off the second you walk in. When the session ends, there is nothing left behind to keep.

How it works

The page is a static file served from Cloudflare’s global edge. Live sharing uses our own real-time backend, which issues an anonymous, auto-expiring “follow” link: while you’re sharing, your latest position is published to that link; when you stop, it’s gone. There are no accounts and nothing is tied to your identity.

The companion app

The web tools are perfect for quick, no-install sharing. For sharing that keeps running in the background with your screen off, the My Location app uses the same link, so a link shared from your phone opens right here on the web.
